Welcome to a new week. Hope you had a wonderful weekend and at least rested. Today i am bringing back our usual motivational Monday posts where i post inspiring quotes simply to make our week a little easier and motivate us to work better. I have selected a few quotes for us today from notable architects and designers, hopefully this would be inspiring enough…….

Any work of architecture which does not express serenity is a mistake.

Luis Barragán

As an architect you design for the present, with an awareness of the past, for a future which is essentially unknown.

Norman Foster

A doctor can bury his mistakes but an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines.

Frank Lloyd Wright

No design works unless it embodies ideas that are held common by the people for whom the object is intended.

Adrian Forty

There is no design without discipline. There is no discipline without intelligence.

Massimo Vignelli

I love the quote by Frank Lloyd Wright, a doctor can bury his mistakes but an architect can only advise his clients to plant vines……..lol. Vines to hide the awful master piece……lol.

Adrain Forty said it all – No design works unless it embodies ideas that are held common by the people for whom the object is intended. You must always always put your client first, not just designing what you think is right but what is right and perfect for your client.

You really cannot design without an awareness of the past and also considering the future. When you design using Norman Foster’s advice, you are sure to produce a timeless design.

I hope i have done a good job today at motivating and inspiring you for the week. Have a lovely day and a blessed week.

Happy Monday.
